thanks, jean and don ! it was a great rainbow, even though only a very faint double. but I didn't have an umbrella, so couldn't maneuver to a better view til it was done. but I'm trying to piece together the full arc that I did get. jean - it a convention center, and the sign is for the In-Water boat show based there this week-end. There's a LOT o'gold at the end of that rainbow right now!

Nice one Kamaly, is that an airplane in the rainbow?

Jean Gregory Evans on October 1, 2008

this would be a good one for the no prize contest... rows of light

kamalyn on October 1, 2008

Hey jean - good idea! I'm waiting til after the week-end to see what surprises might be out there, but that's a definite idea!

Ha-Ha - Guy - you found it! Yup, couldn't figure out how to work that into the title, too, so decided to let the tag make it a Where's Waldo. Funny thing: I got several shots like this, since that was today's flight path, I guess.

someGuyinmasset on October 1, 2008

I never saw the tag. And I thought your new row of trees or the row of big babies with my little dude somewhat behaving himself. Guy.

kamalyn on October 1, 2008

or rows of oyster beds! did think about the swans, too...too many choices....we'll see what the week-end brings, sure to be more rows to choose from. cool you saw the plane without the tag. I wonder what the people on the plane felt like, flying through a rainbow like that! OK, signing off for real. I've got spots before my eyes ;)

Will be interesting... I await....

What a beautiful rainbow!!! You were on the right place in the right time...and of course you had the skills to handle the situation properly. Excellent photography. Congrats!

I would like to ask a favor from you: I took some pics of the statues at the Boston Common and the Public Gardens and I have no idea whose statue is THIS.

Could you please help me out?

kamalyn on October 2, 2008

Thanks, BollaBorsca! It was a great rainbow. You probably won't believe it, but I actually wasn't in the right place at the right time: if I'd headed to the water a block closer than I did, I could have gotten it arching over the Childrens Museum, which looked amazing in the sun, instead of this area - so all day I've been thinking about that imaginary shot! LOL, yup, I whine a lot!

But I have no idea who that statue is! I drive by that area from time to time, so I'll try to find out next time I do, though. Cheers!

This is an acceptable picture.

It is amazing that people find all of the b-n-p (not your friend) in photos if it hadnt been mentioned I would not have seen the plane. I guess you need to enlarge a lot of the pics. Lovely rainbow, hope you found the pot of gold. Dianne

Dann - very glad for your Seal of Acceptability!

dianne - lol, I keep meaning to mention its funny that you have that as a tag. Thanks! - and yup: its a little trick to try to get those view counts up! :D

I am glad that you are glad. Expect similar commentary in the future. :)

Wall to wall rainbow. I have one taken on the motorway to scotland long like this. I will try to find it. Brilliant when they happen aren't they? Good shot well done.

Thanks, paulie ! it was the first full arc rainbow I've seen this year - very lucky I was out side walking back from a meeting to be able to see it!
