As I expected, I found a pretty room in a nice hotel with a cosy Restaurant and enjoyed a typical dish of the region, Capuns.

An intriguing and rich photo, May. And what beautiful shapes and materials. Bells? What are they used for? A belated visit but glad to be visiting, -alicia

May

Alicia, thank you for your lovely comments and for your interest! That's a bell and two of, what we call Treicheln, for the cows on festivities, for example, when they return from the pastures in the mountain at the end of the season. They have them in all sizes. The difference between bells and treicheln is, that the bells are casted in a mould with liquid metal and the Treicheln are forged of iron and worked by hand, at least the big ones like in the photo. Very small ones are pressed in shape by machines. Best regards, May

Amitiés, May

Thanks Zaman! That's the farmer's "jewelry" for their cattle on festive events.
