I really like this "Autumn Textures" series you've posted Alicia. Subtle colors, although not so subtle in this one, and geometric designs that border on modern, or abstract, art. Very nicely done.

Best regards, Tom

Greetings, Tom and Marilyn and thanks for your comments on my new posts. As much as I regret seeing our short summer disappear here, I am always inspired by autumn color. This one is of Japanese blood grass - always colorful. Glad you both dropped by, alicia

I love how the green seems to fade into red as the sun dances through the slender stems and spikes!

It is delightful view seen through your artistic eye.

Beautiful creation, Alicia.

Warm regards,

Mary Alice

Your Autumn colours arrive earlier than our own Alicia and these beautiful warm hues make a pretty picture.

Soon, we shall have some frosty nights and our woodlands will glow with the golds, reds and ambers that for me is my favourite time of year.

I shall be out with my camera soon and hope to post something special.

Best wishes.

Mary Alice how nice to see you in my garden! You have noticed a characteristic of this particular grass - the green does amazingly melt into a flaming hot red. Thank you so much for your wonderful observations and compliments!

And Mike for your visiting my very 'wee' series and enjoying the flaming autumn colors over here. I'm sure you will be getting yours soon though....

Welcome to my garden too, Jim! We are not into our autumn full-blown yet, but I am looking forward to the full range of fiery colors it brings. I will keep my eyes open for your uploads - I would love to see what autumn looks like in your woodlands.

Best to all, alicia

Alicia your Autumn series I enloyed, and will again!, thanks for the name of that beautiful grass (or was it your own autumn tinted haur), anyway, maybe I'll be able to find it one of the numerous garden plant catalogues thar fall through my mail-box like autumn leaves!

The information re; Canon software I havw mentioned earlier, many thanks again.

Now I am going off to the bank, to see if they need any more help with this world-wide crisis!!

Tarraa for now, take care,

Lovely autumn abstract. Our Candadian Pano friends and US Easterners are doing an outstanding job showing us their spectacular autumn showings. Our forests are evergreen so we just don't have that display, although our own gardens and parks have introduced trees with great colour. H

How nice to see you again, Mike! With more lovely comments! I'm not sure where you ended up with your software, but I'll find out as I go, I'm sure ;>.

Hello Helen and thank you for another stop in my garden. The light in this photo is autumn, but the grass colors you see are with this grass all the time it is in season (dying back in winter). You're right, I was just noticing a few days ago that you can definitely tell the season change just by looking at panoramio photos. -alicia
