We passed on our long walk through this idylic place. A working farm and cottage bordered by woods, fields of sheep and shrouded in peace. Within half a mile was a road but the sound of traffic was not heard because of the brook and the sound of the robins, chaffinches and other birds curious about our passing. The stead snuggled... ah... or possibly nestled.. in the ancient glacial valley. A lazy fat contented cat took no pains at all to completely ignore us as we passed it sleeping on a, probably long cooled bonnet. Chickens clucked. And that was it. Does my envy show?
