This is the last remaining covered bridge in South Carolina. It was built in 1909. Nearby are the remains of a grist mill operated by Alexander Campbell.

I've had requests for the exact coordinates of the bridge. The following figures were obtained by using a Garmin GPS60 at the site, and were confirmed by consulting the USGS topo map. Most recreational GPS units use the Degree and Decimal Minute (DD MM.M) format, but here are the coordinates in two other formats, as well.

DD MM.M (Format used on GEOCACHING.COM) N 35 05.142, W 82 15.840

DDD.DDDDD 35.085700, -82.264000 (This version can be pasted in the "fly to" box on Google Earth)

DD MM SS.S N 35 05 08.52, W 82 15 50.40

I hope this is helpful. A visit to see the bridge, and its lovely and peacful setting, is a great experience. You can drive directly to the bridge. The south entrance provides the best parking.
