Many thanks, Jurgis and Bepix. Of course it was the light that made me want to take the photo. Cheers, Marilyn

From looking at your photos, Julie, I think you would have enjoyed a visit to that park, and I bet you would have taken some lovely pictures. Best wishes, Marilyn

Here underthis gentle tree,

by smooth water flowing by

one may sit and ponder one's fortune

or just while the time away

watching the birds, the insects and then

realise your fotune again to be here

as SPEED RIVER passes you by

you sit staring, completely dry.

An absolutely gorgeous and peaceful scene Marylin it could be in a sweet country setting, the burbling river sucking away on its slow roll to the sea, the quiet chuckling of ducks, the hum of dragon-fly, dancing about the gently waving reeds and grasses....

then I looked on the map, saw the name of the water course....the words above just popped into my head!

hope you are all ok, our country is grinding to an inexorable halt now we have at least 6 inches of snow in the South!, please feel free to laugh till your socks fall off!, I do each time it's on the news!...six inches of snow! airports closed, traffic EVERYWHERE at a standstill, people being warned to stay at home unless their journey is ABSOLUTELY necesarry!, ho ho hoooo! ha ha ha ha1 MY LIFE!, IT'S RIDICULOUSLY FUNNY!

mIKE TWO POEMS HERE, i THINK i WILL USE THE FIRST ONE, BUT THE SECOND ONE (NO RHYME) IS DEDICATED TO YOUR DAUGHTER, SO IN LAW AND OF COURSE,dVID.

You really capture the mood, Mike! Thank you!!

I worked three years in the northern part of the South in the USA, so I've seen what happened when it snowed ... even a few flakes! So I've seen what a disruption it can cause.

Cheers, Marilyn

Hmmmm, more like abject panic and misery here!
