Oooops - looks like tall the recent comments on this slipped past the first page quickly a few weeks ago. My apologies, and Thanks! dianne, steve, jadransko and mendei.

Next week is American's 'Thanksgiving holiday, and cranberry sauce must be served with it! These are the guys who make that possible. So Thanks to them and their grueling work, too!

Jean Gregory Evans on November 25, 2008

Thank you cranberry workers!

I especially like the cranberry drinks! And the dried cranberries.

The cranberry harvesters and I thank-you, Jean :) Cheers to NC ( especially for taking our quota of autumn snow, at least to far!)

I think this is just about my favourite photo of all (that includes everyones).. Just love it.

kamalyn on May 17, 2009

wow - Thanks dianne!! (I'll keep that a secret from Guy, though, lol!) It does seem too bad that this one was 'rejected' from GE, since they're now accepting shots like this (all of my bittern shots got in - so no reason this wouldn't now) But I love how this explains so much about the unique harvest in this area.

I have lots of favs. from Guy's too but the cranberries are just special. You should try again with GE, a couple that I thought should have made it, I just did the "I think they should have made it thing." and within a couple of days they were on, so give it a go, sure is worthy of GE and such an interesting subject. the pictures show me the beauty of your country

kamalyn on June 11, 2009

Thanks very much for finding my pages and for your nice comments, AnnaV. Even people here in Massachusetts who pass by the dry cranberry bogs the rest of the year don't realize how the cranberries are harvested, or beautiful they are in the autumn. I'm glad I thought to go to this festival to see for myself, and that others find the photo so interesting.

Thanks Dianne! It would be nice if this were in, but I'd hate to wipe out the conversation and the views to re-upload it, so I guess it will have to remain a hidden photo only those who come to Pan can find. Maybe I'll just have to go again next autumn and get a new shot to post...

But for everyone who might be interested, even though I don't know how long the link will remain active, here's a link to a video about Ocean Spray Cranberries and how they're harvested.

It's really very interesting and well done photo. Greeting from Moscow

Still an all time favourite of mine. Dianne

Thanks Dianne! Getting nearer and nearer to that time of year. Though I hate the thought of summer being over. We had such a cold rainy June and July, it really does seem like summer just started.

Jean Gregory Evans on August 22, 2009

I'm wondering what great photos that my eyes will feast upon this season...

kamalyn on December 5, 2009

Hey COOOL! I submitted this for re-view and it got Accepted! t always seemed this shot would be so appropriate for GE even though people are so much a part of it, precisely because people are so much a part of it - such a unique harvest so few people are aware of.

diannemcd on November 11, 2010

Hi k local mix is good. Love the cranberry photos...

Jean Gregory Evans on November 12, 2010

me too!

kamalyn on November 12, 2010

Thanks Dianne! Just hope I can sneak enough time to actually make the calendar!!!

Thanks Jean! This is one of my favs, too. I'm glad it got accepted to GE the second try.

diannemcd on November 12, 2010

You must. What is more important, I think most definitely one of kamalyn's calendars on my wall for next year. D

diannemcd on November 24, 2010

That is a very yummy part. And love the photo too.
