Another great one, they all remind me of Xmas Day. Dianne

Thanks, Hajex - yes, now I do know the secret, but we were only allowed there for the festival. Too bad this area isn't open to the public in general. But all over south-east Massachusetts, most of the bogs are just like fields scattered around along side the roads, so very easy to see them.

Steve - maybe it was John who got the song wrong ;) But paulie455 just got it all right! One of my usuals. And thanks so much, dianne ! After seeing what it takes to harvest these, seems a shame that people just string them up to wrap around hte tree! (At least that's what many do, or did, around here, alternating cranberries and popcorn for a garland on the Christmas Tree.)

Unfortunately we dont get to do that, just have the "ready made" cranberry sauce, but looks sooooo much better in your photos. Dianne

I think you will find this a bit of a different comment. You may have seen me in the forum, and I have occasionally poked around in your gallery because of your forum posts. But something unusual happened tonight.

I was using Google Earth, looking for photos - any photos - in Myles Standish State Forest, and yours were the only ones nearby. I looked at several of them, and then hey, wait! I know that name! Sure enough, it was like running into an aquaintance while in another part of the world.

Just thought you'd like to know, real people do look at your gallery because of GE.

Do you live in the Plymouth area?

HI Austin - well thanks for the nice comment! It's always interesting to come across photos by others on Pan in our own areas, wondering if we've walked by them as they were taking a photo! Certainly surprising that there aren't any shots posted from that area besides mine - the cranberry bogs are sure interesting, and it seems funny no one's posted anything from the State Forest. I live about an hour north, and while I drive the highways nearby often, I've only visted the area for the Cranberry Festival.
