USNGS Disk - Niguel A1884

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

This was taken back when geotagging was still allowed on GE. Hopefully with the SLOW recovery in the U.S., I'll be able to get back into land surveying where a brass disk like this is critical for everyday work.

I can tell you from looking at this disk that this particular disk was set in 1981, but it replaces a monument that was originally set in 1884.
