Вулканы удивительны, живые, меняются, в них есть удивительные явления, которых нет в горах. А какая мощь при извержении! Особенность вулканов Камчатки - близость океана, т.е. большой перепад высот. Именно это создает интересные метеоусловия, которые крайне редко бывают в глубине материков. Именно такое явление - чечевицеобразные облака - довелось наблюдать в августе 1990 года под Ключевской Сопкой. Накануне больше суток бушевал циклон, утром прояснилось, но дул сильный ветер из-за вулканов Ключевской, Камень, Безымянный с Тихого океана. Обтекая высокое препятствие воздушные массы образуют такие облака. Они висят примерно в одном месте, но постоянно видоизменяются. К сожалению в то время не было хороших фотоматериалов, как сейчас. It has something to do with the sudden rise in elevation, where the moist air of the ocean is suddently pushed up to the colder air present higher in the atmosphere, and the water vapor starts to condense.
