Beautiful photo with lovely contrast of colours, light and shadow, Penny! Very pretty house - is it yours? Have you uploaded a photo of this place before, somehow I have a sensation of "déjà vu". Y*! Best wishes, May

Many thanks, Klaus, Larry, Alfred, Gezginruh, Ferhad Fidan for your very kind words

Hi May! No not my house - and this is the only time I have seen it, so no other postings. The blue against the autumn colors just caught my eye.

Greetings from Massachusetts -- Penny

We were very surprised to see this used to be our house (until August of this year)! It was built in 1906 and originally owned by the Dills. Mrs Dill was the principal of the elementary school for years and lived to be 101. Your picture is very beautiful and you definately saw it at the best time of year....NICE JOB.

I'd like to visit your country once; what a wonderful colours.

Indeed a very nice job

If you want to see the New Englnd leaves in all their autumn finery, the last week of September and the first two weeks of October or the best.

I'd love to visit so many places, too -- I'm grateful for Panoramio and all the wonderful photographers that give me a glimpse into places I will never see first hand. You do get to travel with your camera to Indonesia -- you must spend some time there -- you have many insightful photos there.

The closest I have been to Groningen was a layover at Airport Schiphol where I grabbed the train into Amsterdam for about half a day. I was mesmerized by the sight of a piano being hoisted up to a third floor window by means of a pulley on the ridge pole extension. I had never seen this done before - here the ridge poles virtually never extend beyond the roof of a house -- so we are reduced to carrying everything up the stairs.

Nicely done. I like all your new stuff, especially the night shots.
