Very, Very Nice Troy!

Did you know,

Up high against the cliffs to the right of where you are standing when you took this shot are some massive eagle nests? Some are 6 feet tall and weigh 100's of pounds.

I want to go back and shoot those nests this comming spring.

Thanks Michael. I actually saw one of the eagles soaring above the cliffs the last time I went hiking there with my wife and kids. It was very cool to watch it float up and down as it would catch different thermals/air currents.

How was your trip to Eastern Oregon? I hope you had good weather.

Hi Troy,

The Trip was good, I felt that the trees had either not quite changed color or they just lost all their leaves. It was a bit cold in Oct about 14 in La Grande when we left for Joseph. Beautiful area! I want to re-visit it again next year. I also wanted to hit the Elkhorns/ Anthony Lake area but there was already 3 inches of snow 4 miles from the lake at the top. I didn't want to chance coming down the other side without having chains. So we just drove back to Salem stopping here and there for some shots..

Hope you have a wonderful Holiday!

This has been one of my favorite images for a while now. I never get tired of looking at it Troy. So awesome!

Thanks again, Jeramya. This image is also one of my favorites. In fact, I just ordered a 20X30 print to have framed.

How was your hike into the Cathedral Rocks canyon area?

Jeramya Stephens on December 31, 2010

Cool, that must be a beautiful print! My hike was an amazing experience. Ended up hiking more miles than anticipated, but I really enjoyed every minute of it. That whole area takes my breath away every time I visit. I just love the Mount Jefferson Wilderness, every little corner of it! Happy New Year Troy... Jeramya :-)
