The New Croton Dam was built during a era when public works projects were expected to be aesthetically pleasing as well as functional. This spectacular bridge spans the spillway of the New Croton Dam. Closed to vehicle traffic, but still open to pedestrians, the top of the bridge offers an unparalleled view of the 1000 foot long spillway. Link to Wikipedia article on the New Croton Dam
