Long John Silver. (Pirate) Born here 1881 .

Robert L. Stevenson, wrote the book "Treasure Island" while on an extended family stay in this Cottage in the Summer of 1881.

Well this fellow,s Characters seem to be immortal, I can,t remember how many Long John Silvers and Dr, Jeckel and Mr Hydes I,ve seen in film and Telly. Maria. regards scally

One of his characters was real febrok, Doctor Jeckel lived in Edinburgh and was very nice gentleman, but when he went on his holidays to a place in Europe called Reeperbahn, he acted like some of the locals and became a Mr. Hyde a lager swilling womaniser. LOL cheers scally.
