The tree is in a small protected area and is indeed hundreds of years old. You can see that branches have been cut away over the years - despite the "protection" - giving it the shape you note. Ciao, Chris
Chris, to me, it looks like a woman with her head chopped in two, admittedly, but a woman, never the less, looking at a mirror held in her left hand and facing to our right (or her left). She has her right forarm across the front of her body and you can see her down to about her waist.
Can you see this? Ignore the stump sticking out the top, and just look at the green clumps is best.
Very interesting tree and quite a challenge to see the animal you mentioned to Jazz. I had to come and have a nose, you see, and I could only see this woman, as soon as I saw the shot.:)
Yikes, I got really confused there, and I was mixed up between you two people names Chris! Christopher B Rose left a message on Jazz's photo, Chris, and I thought for a minute that this was his photo, as you are named Chris as well, so I'm sorry about that, but nice to meet you, chris, as in chaisan Chris! I must come back to your gallery shortly, I think it will be very interesting, but now, it's cooking tea time!

Well done! I like it very much.Greetings.GGR.
Thanks gezginruh, I am pleased you like this one. It is a favorite of mine - ancient juniper overlooking the valley. Regards, Chris
This tree must be hundreds of years old!
Somehow, it reminds me of those black African birds that do the mating dance with their wings outstretched behind them.
Random, I know.
Cheers from Dallas

Hi Sue - you are welcome any time :)
Thanks JAZZ, but I think you mean Chris Rose ;) Klause appreciates interesting tree shots, so I'm not surprised he's been visiting.
Best wishes, Chris B.
Cheers, Chris, I did get in a tangle, didn't I?:D
Very best wishes, Sue
Hi cbaisan, your tree has changed, it's no longer a bird nor a wife. Cheers, Klaus
