Did you manage to get home before the Blizzard Fain? I remember Londoners have a great fear of driving on snow.:-(( scally
Me drive into London Scally??? I'm just a LMC west Londoner, how can I afford to pay the congestion charge??? The blizzard was Sunday night anyway,,,
I think it is most admirable how the Mayor of London directs his traffic, as a visitor ( with my Blue Badge) I find Central London a comparative dream to drive and park, since he applied these charges. My only complain is that he might have introduced free Public transport for all O.A.P.s then I could park in Watford, which would save petrol and save me money. Cheers scally
Hmm, I see Scally =/ I thought you could travel on the bus for free. But then, with all the hoodies on the bus, maybe it's not such a nice idea. I guess you are one of those who comes down once a year in December :D
The free bus pass only works in scotland,Fain,
but to be honest,my wife who loved to take a yearly trip to London refuses to go after the bombings on the transport. The present inquest and what happened in the underground, leaves me a wee bit queasy. I never did feel happy squeezed in those wee boxes deep underground, feel even less safe now, but I,m sure you L.M.C. Londoners are made of sterner stuff, and you would have to be, because this recession will draw 1,000,s of hoodies down there, better pickings in London
Scally, I'd have thought the hoodies would be heading up north to share (in the words of Alex Salmond) Scotland's axis of prosperity with Norway, Denmark and Iceland....
Fain How can anyone trust Salmond on money matters. He,s got a 1st Hons in Economics from St,Andrews university, and was the B.O.S. chief Economist on the North Sea for quite a few years, so it is obvious the man is not to be trusted. cheers scally.
I actually didn't know that Scally, he doesnt look like an ex-private sector guy to me. He reminds me of John Prescott, but more a bit posher. I'm kind of curious what you do to your trick or treaters Scally....
From Humble Folks Fain, but never in the class of Prescott, who made his way on the backs of his workmates. Salmond came to politics late and by all accounts is a very charming fellow, who makes few enemies, As for trick or treaters. I make it as difficult as possible for them to get our attention All Lights to the front OUT, a wee chain on the gate, but not padlocked, and if they can trick me to open the front door, I,ve always got a few foreign coins as a treat, and a trick all rolled up in one. This seems to work because I can,t remember the last time one visited.but the way things are this year, I might be dressing up myself though I don,t think I,ll get drunk, begging Whisky from the misers around here. :-(( cheers scally.
