Love the poem kamaly and I can certainly see what you mean about taking the photo from the front of the statue. The planets in the photo are cool too. Thanks for the link. Cheers.
Thanks, marbiz - And some other shots of the memorial were just uploaded on the BnP page - one of the statue from the front, and one of the main plaque that gives the story of the whole memorial. I had some of my facts wrong up above. Seems there are about 5,300 men listed, and its the Fishermen's memorial, not Fisherman's.
Very good but...I like the other better...but I will be back when I will have time to see in this photo something that my eye has caught about poems...(I adore poetry...)...to read about...Greetings from Greece ...Sylvie
The bird that you gave Paul was taken at the Winthrop Yacht Club. I used to go there often. I lived on Shore Drive. So I came looking for more shots and found this. I have always loved this statue!!! Thanks for uploading it!
Very late Thanks Gerry and Sylvietsak - Cheers!
And Thanks Margot! Having lived that close to the water you sure must miss the ocean out there, but the mountains likely make up for it. and ha-ha, yeah, those birds were the only ones I could give spamming Paul, though there's another I'd have much preferred to flip to him. :D
