"like#13" is not enough to describe how awestruck i was by this "artwork".

JoelleGiannoni on January 13, 2011

That one sent me back directly the Titanic soundtrack in mind!!! It has a ghosty atmosphere, and the B&W increases it more again!!! I agree with Stacy, it's pure artwork!!

Cheers from Joelle

" ..a ghostly galleon, tossed upon cloudy seas"

Jim Evans (AXOTA) on February 27, 2011

First, I humbly apologise for my late replies!

As for the ship, There are dozens of photos in many galleries of this superb replica sailing ship..I wanted something a little different and since we associate galleons with piracy, and ghostly events as depicted in countless novels and films, I liked the idea of creating a ghostly image..The result is not a trick nor is it a product of Photoshop..This is the wavy reflection just as the camera caught it.

Sadly, the ship, formerly the GRAND TURK is no longer moored in my home town..It was berthed here for four years and was loved by the townsfolk and visitors alike.

She was sold to a French charter boat company and is now berthed in St Malo France!

Apologies for my late response guys!

Conquilha~~~~It is a nice surprise to find you deep in the annals of my gallery :) Much appreciated!

psonja~~~~Hello Sonja, Thank you for your interest in this magnificent Man-o'-War, The Grand Turk)..It no longer resides in my home town since it was purchased by a French consortium two years ago and sadly, they changed its name.

Miguel Bortfeldt~~~~Greetings Miguel :)~~~This replica fighting ship was moored in the harbour of my home town for several years..It was used occasionally on film shoots for TV and the cinema! Since computer generated images are so realistic, the entertainment industry no longer required the "real thing", so the Grand Turk became obsolete! I'm grateful for your generous appraisal :)

Kind regards to you all

Jim
