Coastwatch took possession of the derelict Look-out Tower at Magdelene Fields Golf Course in June 2003, since when the building has been entirely renovated and re-equipped to meet safety standards. Regular coastal watches have been operating since November 2003 and some local businesses have helped to fund certain aspects of the Towers developement. Coastwatch watchkeepers also assist the local caravan site nearby with safety information and weather reports, we are working closely with them to install a "Seal-cam" on the Tower with the screen in the Caravan members lounge allowing the caravaners to watch the Seals on Bucket Rocks. The Look-out Tower was officialy opened on June 20th 2004 by out Patron, Actor Philip Madock.
