I actually didn't live in this street, but it seemed so evocative of that time of my life. Yes, it does look quite 'nice' in this photo. My memories of Rishton are all dark and gloomy, coal mines still working, etc. (And there would have been NO cars in a photo taken then!) Check out "Paradise" on page 2 of my photos which is the view from where I now live! Somewhat different from Rishton, or UK for that matter! Cheers, River
