Are you aware of the painting of "The Village Street, Eynsford, Kent" by John WIlliam Buxton Knight 1843 - 1908? It is reproduced in a calendar sent to us by a client. I looked up Eynsford on GoogleEarth to see if Eynsford is recognisable from the picture and it looks from your photo as if the bridge is the original and possibly the b/w timbered building, but the painting (view from along side the b/w timbered building across the bridge to the church) shows a church with a spire across the river. That seems to have gone looking at GoogleEArth. Do you happen to know? Just a thought.

I have a watercolour painted by a L Stewart not dated but I assume it was late 1800's of the pub with a man fishing from a boat on the river to the left. The road was a dirt track then and the bridge stone built.
