Almost impossible to imagine how big they are. But this picture shows it all.......Leave it to our imagination!

The lighting of the foreground and the contrast with that of the background make your picture look like a beautiful oil painting. And the details, the plaque... Quite something.

By the way, I created the "Marylin's Comment" tag... Check it out

Thank you, Ed and omnshakti, for your comments. It is a difficult place to photograph because of the size of the trees and the extreme light and dark contrast. I'm glad if you think I had some success.

And omshakti, I enjoyed seeing the tag.

Great shot of the forest giant, Marilyn! Of course it's impossible to capture it entirely because of its size, but your picture is very expressive and we can imagine how huge this tree is! I hope it will survive a long, long time and never become a victim of the timber industry! Greetings, Anne

The boulders are a pretty nice way to make a long term sign post. Sure like the rails they use there - rustic.

I'm sorry I missed your comment, MDV. Thank you for your comment and for the link.

JL, Redwood trees can also be hard to photograph because of the extreme contrast of sun and shade. I'm glad you like this one.

Best wishes, Marilyn
