Late September, drifting about in a canoe on the tiny lake as the sun set. Less than 5 minutes after this photo was taken, a large bull moose answered my call just a few yards back of the shore at the right side of the photo. The last of the sun's rays caught his antlers, we watched as he turned and disappeared into the darkness. Fantastic hunting trips sometimes bring home only memories
