Ed. Rodríguez Prati on September 25, 2009

Hello Scally, I've already commented this one and now when I saw it I found it very beautiful again... Just now I've read your last answer to my comments... Perhaps as Spain wasn't an island migrations to and from there, were easier than in Britain... That's why you have a superposition of kelt -or gaul-, roman, and visigothic culture over the primitive "íberos" (iberians)in the north (which some people suppose basques are the most pure survivors). After that comes a phase of what are called now "celtíberos" (iberians + kelts), and after received a strong romanization (Trajano was spanish!). In the south more than kelts the influence was mediterranean, first by fenician and after through morish people from Morocco. A real blend that makes the diversity and cultural richness of the country... About the happy union there are different opinions, as it happens in Great Britain..., particularly in Basque country and Catalonia. Best wishes, Edmundo

Hi Edmundo, I do not think the name Great Britain has any real political meaning since Ireland became a nation in 1922. Northern Ireland is still part of the United Kingdom, with a strong representation of Home rulers in their assembly wishing to join the South, We at the moment have a minority Scottish Nationalist Government who wish to hold a vote for Independence, and with no sign of any recovery from this economic collapse, I have concerns for the stability of the present UK set up. LOL cheers scally.
