Gold star and a vote for this one Karen. You have some great photos in your gallery. I also love harbour shots. Doesn't it feel nice when you catch it just right and get a perfect reflection!
Hi Karen, I saw this a couple of weeks ago and I didn't have time to write and I shouldn't be on P now, but I have to comment on this really beautiful photo. I really love it and would love to take one like this, the reflections are fantastic. You have some other terrific pics and I'll get back to them later. A vote for this and I'll vote for your bridge in the other comp - it's a stunner. Greetings from cool Melbourne H. I shall return!!!
Hi Helen thank you so much for your lovely comments I'm quite overwhelmed by them. At the time I didn't realize how calm the water was until I saw the photo. Thank you also for your compliment on my other bridge in the NPC and for your VOTE for both photos, I really do appreciate it.
Hi Pioches thank you for your visit and for your kind words for my Brixham photo, you could say I was lucky that night there was hardly no wind at all, and there was a flat calm so to speak, so I took the shot and hoped it would be ok, I suppose it was. Also thank you for your VOTE
Hi Sven Christmann . I agree with Pioches. The blurred background removes far too much detail. I trust you will delete my photo from picamatic.com. At present I use a compact camera and getting a photo like this is a special achievement to me. Thank you for your interest. Christmas Wishes Karen.
Hi Karen. I think the clear shot is the stronger of the two. Photoshop blurs can only be applied in smaller amounts. Even then the different distances in the shot would need varying amounts of blur ie. the background behind a mid distance boat needs more blur than the boat itself. Keep all that awesome detail and get more of these shots for me. :) Ian
Hi Pioches thank you for standing by me where my Brixham photo is concerned. It means a lot to me.You have a happy Christmas Eve. ;)
Hi Ian thanks to you also for your input on the blur, that was impossible to take as you know, anyway thank you again I hope you and your family have a Happy Christmas. ;)
