Ntinos Lagos,

Thank you my friend!

I had to re-upload this image to Panoramio because the 1st one was below their minimum dpi for google earth.

Kam Liang,

Hello and thanks for the comment!

I used a Canon 40D with a Canon EFS 17-85mm f4-5.6 IS Lens and a Cokin circular polarizer.

I shot using a tripod and a release cable. I bracketed for three shots at f-22 and exposed 1 stop under and 1 stop over. for a total of 3 images.

I used Photomatix pro 3.0 to HDR to blend the 3 images and tone maped the image to get the best tonal(sp) range.

Then used Photoshop Element 5.0 to clean up.

Thanks again for the comments..

Hey Michael, have you ever walked the "lost" section of the McKenzie Wagon Rd?? Look for my pix just west of Dee Wright.

Scott,

I did last Summer as soon as the pass opened up.. The images I shot were not the quality I desired so I never added them to my website.. I don't post here on PanOramio anymore because I find people and business using my images that are outside PanOramio's API use. Eventhough they are copyrighted..

If they would just ask me and then tell me about their useage I may grant free use but no one does...

Michael...

BTW I would love to see the forest service open up these old road for hiking more. Maybe repair them like they are doing in the Columbia Gorge..

I get what you mean about usage outside of Panoramio. Obviously you work with your images to add quite a bit of value, and it sucks then when people swipe them to use elsewhere for free. I try not to do too much post-production so that I don't feel to "invested" in my images....but then I'm not a pro photographer either. I bet Aaron Nuffer suffers the same dismay. Damn...too bad, as your images are always a pleasant surprise of beauty when I stumble upon them!
