What a fantastic photo and crazy colours - again voted as another "best of" !!!... You're a great photographer Michael... I must confess, I receive inspiration from your photos.

What's the secret of these colours - if not too confidential :)

eMRe MisirloU,

Thanks for the compliments!

No it's not cofidential.. :)

I do some HDR photography using Photomatix software. I am continuing to fine tune my use of HDR some of my older work is crazier than this but I like this shot. HDR is a great tool but being at the right moment I would say is #1. Using ND filters, polarizers getting to the location close to dawn, and a tripod is always a must!! it's like building a sandwhich. :-)

I am in the opinion that such unnatural colors weaken this scenic landscape.

Nice picture, although a little oversaturated. Daniel

JMZ2007, Daniello1975,

Hello and thanks for both of your comments!

I guess that is why beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Doing HDR is always going to be a job of refinement, a fine tuning the proccess. If you think this image was too saturated Check out This One

The above image was going to be used in an exhibit at the Mission Mill Museum here in Salem, I say was, only because the 10'x17' Mural would have had a doorway right in the middle. So they decided on A Modified Version of this Image because it would have the mountains on both sides of the doorway..

Personally, I like this image. I love the way the color makes the trees pop out with more detail in the background. The refelction in the water is rich. and the island was in full bloom with yellow green grasses.

The only thing I would change is the foreground. Way too much light and rock. It overpowers the image maiking it feel off balance. Where the focal point should be the mountain and the refelection..

Have a great day..
