This is a great shot. Wish I'd taken it.
BTW, I see they've paved the runway since I was there in Mar 1990. I also notice from other pictures that they've painted a big '24' on the Eastern end of the runway now (meaning 240 degrees) which cracks me up. I would be surprised if any plane ever tried to land from that direction. But I guess regulations are regulations and you have to have numbers painted on both ends of a runway once you pave it.
It was amazing watching the plans landing on a stamp... Check out my pics, I've added one more from Lukla. No plane on the runway, but para militaries playing volley ball...
