Very beautiful photo with movement and joy! Happy 2009!! Ippa :)

Ah the joy of twirling! It's such a vivacious sort of picture, Nawitka, beautiful!

Kamaly directed me to this photo on my quest to find out just who is who and who wears dresses and who doesn't, and i have found a very important clue on this page, so I shall be returning to base with an accurate assumption that you are, indeed, a girl, just like myself, and that you have at some point been nailed to a perch.. there, that just about covers things.. I'm off to hit the red wine again. It seems to help make sense of things....if you don't know what I'm on about, ask Conrad Nay, this is all his fault, for posting a picture of a fat cow....which was probably pining for the fjords too.....as am I, and I have never been to Norway, and I am not blue.

Anyway, I'm sorry for calling you a man, I became thoroughly confused, until Kamaly came to my rescue..I am about to swat a cockroach which has just flown into the kitchen, I shall call it Houdini, as I don't know how it got past the screens..and then I shall retire to my bed...

I do love this beautiful picture of your daughter, they're so precious, aren't they?

My very best wishes to you, and you may delete this rather lengthy and drivel ridden comment, if you wish, and notify me and I will replace it with another more sensible one, from my shop at Bolton..

Sue, you are always so kind! I wouldn't dream of deleting your comment !!! Thank you a hundred times! Now I must have a word with Conrad. He has been following me around, you know!

LOLOLOLOL Sue ! I must say, I haven't laughed as long and hard as I did reading your comment above, well, I do believe possibly not since I the very first time I saw The Dead Parrot sketch, having never even heard of Monty Python before going to one of those cheap movie showings in the student union at college. Tears streaming down my face and gasping for breath like a, well, like an almost ex-parrotfish!

And I have a feeling there are people all over the world scratching their heads wondering just WHO is this 'Pining for the Fjords' who's all of a sudden showing up in their Favourites list??? when they certainly never ever clicked on the star for someone by that name! So you can now smugly feel oh so superior and in the know ;)

And cheers to You, Ms. Pining!

Sue Allen on December 29, 2008

Well, my tongue nearly fell out, reading all your 'LOL's, Kamaly! Yes, I must admit, I do feel rather superior now, since being educated in the finer arts of the Dead Parrot sketch...Mind you, I see that Conrad has been on the lose again and has now mentioned the 'Nightmare before Christmas' which I have an awful feeling is going to prove just as confusing as the last day has been, so I'll just sit back and watch developments, I think..

Norwegian Blue, I mean PIning for the Fjords, thank you so much for tolerating my drivel, I feel quite at home here!

Yes, I think you must give Conrad a lecture, tee hee, this I can't wait to hear!! (You might like to include a chapter on the perils of misleading gullible people like me.....:D)

Very best wishes to you both!

Sue

I looked at this one some time ago, and didn't comment for various reasons, but I will go ahead and say now that part of what makes this photo so great is the red hat. It is a wonderfully jaunty change-up from the very feminine dress, yet of the same color, and very much in keeping with the joy of the twirl. I can understand why this one is precious and special to you, Nowitka.

Or, I suppose it's Pining for the Fjords. Stick a Fjork in me, I'm done.

For some odd reason this just popped up on my conversations front page. It's a mystery!

Inspector SAVE PANOR… on January 22, 2009

......well it popped up on mine too n1w. Sometimes someone makes a comment and then deletes it and it still pops to the top of the list. Someone once made a nice comment on one of mine and before I could reply it was withdrawn (I was so sad) but the pic was still at the top of the list.

Hello Nawitka nice to see the red twirl again. H

Nawitka on January 22, 2009

Hi Helen and n!w. Yes, someone sent some SPAM, which I deleted. I don't know about you guys, but it is fun to see this again for me!
