Il Ponte Romano di Pont d'Ael ~ Roman Bridge in Pont d'Ael
Grazie mille, sei molto gentile!!! Anche io ho avuto la stessa impressione, in piccolo sembra proprio una piccola muraglia cinese... :)
E'un posto davvero bellissimo, non solo per chi ama la montagna!
Bravo Valerie !I went to Aosta last years for i while and its wonderful ! The variety of colours in your pictures is extraordinary ! Greetings from Greece !!!!!
I am so glad and grateful for your nice words!:)
It is a pleasure to read such comments!Actually Aosta is a very nice place and its mountains are full of colours... :)
Unluckily I haven't ever been in Kefallonia (it is Korfù, right? :),but I konw it is wonderful and I have been in Athens -for few days- and in Rhodes...I hope to come back to Greece as soon as possible!!!
No korfu is a completely different island . Its the one near your country (the south part of your country ) kefallonia is the the other big island down korfu . Its familiar to most of the italians cause 10.000 italians soldiers were killed by german troops during the second world war at 1942 !There is a movie concerning this story 'Captain Corelli's mandolin' The shots were taken in kefallonia ! Have a nice evening !
I understand!!!I know that movie and the landscapes were fantastic...I have also heard about the history of the italian soldiers at the time of the 2nd world war... Thank you for your explanation! :)
Tomas- it is nice to hear from you here! I went to Aosta in a day long trip organized by University...:) As you rightly guessed!!!
There is a wonderful Roman Bridge in a small village near Aosta, called Pondel...It was built in 4 B.C. and it is still in great conditions! Someone told me that it partly looks like the Great Chinese Wall...:))
It is a wonderful and hidden place, as you can see Tomas! No many people know it, maybe only the inhabitants of Pondel (it is a very small village...) and archaeologists of course!
Maybe in my other shots the Bridge and the landscape nearby are more visible..:)
