Klaus, I wonder what the R stands for that is on that bench. Wish I could sit on that bench and have a good long look too. Is that railroad tracks beside the road? The river view right there too. I can almost hear the city in the distance. Really a wonderful photo, Klaus! I also see a tower in the distance for cell phones or television or things like that.

Jean you look very close! There is realy a tower for television.

The blue sign on the bench is the sign of the hiking trail "Rheinsteig". It is one of Germanys first class hiking trails and begins in Wiesbaden and ends in Bonn. You can see this part of the trail here. The red sign stands for the "Rheinburgenweg" an other hiking trail which leads to 47 castles in Germany.

Greetings Klaus

Oh,yes, here is the photo with the link to the trail. My husband used to work in television, I sometimes notice towers but don't always know what they are for!

That trail must be one of the world's greatest. Truly!

Jean, I found the tower now it belongs to German Telekom and it has a lot of functions among other things it also transmites television.

Klaus, thank you for those links, really cool. I enjoyed showing them to my husband who recently retired from his television engineerng job. Now he is only a solo guitarist.

Whow, did he understand all that technical stuff? You have a real artistic family.

Greetings Klaus
