MAN, the lake was formed from volcanic crater with different substrates. The presence of chemical reactions due to rain and so produce different colors. That's what I know so far. There is a legend about this lake according to the local people here. Greetings, Seno.

Thanks a lot Kati & Giuli for your nice comment. Legend said the local people belief that their spirit will come to Kelimutu lakes when they die and remain there forever. The green one (on this picture) for spirits of the youth. The brown one (on this picture) for the witch spirits. The other lake (black, not on this picture) for the oldmen spirits. The color of the waters can also changing. Hope you like this legend. You can see this legend on my other picture. Greetings, Seno.
