Oh, that's so beautiful, Jean!! With the daisies in the foreground as well, it's straight out of a Walt Disney film, the dear little thing!! Do people ever have raccoons as pets over there? I know they're wild animals, but they seem to be such endearing creatures!

I'll show maggie your new raccoon pics tomorrow, she'll love them, she adores animals! She's been very busy actually doing her homework, lately, and doing some stuff for choir, and clarinet etc, so the Panormio took a back seat. They're also making the most of being outside a lot, before it gets really stinking hot, although going by today, it's already like Christmas weather! We had a nice drop of rain this evening, it was beautiful, listening to it on the iron roof, it sounds so much more impressive than on tiles....

I think this will be another very popular photo, Jean, be prepared for more fame, coming your way, and well deserved, you are such a great wildlife photographer!

Very best wishes to you, my friend,

sue

Dear Sue, thank you so much. The photo was a bit on the disappointing side as the camera's automatic setting chose the daisy instead of the baby. But I saw it clearly, at least. He was so sweet the way he was looking about like the world was all new to him. The adults never pay any attention to the birds at all. It was such a sweet moment that I treasure.

Well, Maggie and I have love of animals in common. Please tell her that I said that she might want to consider becoming a naturalist. She has so many wonderful activities that sound like a lot of fun, all of them!

There is a chill in the air these mornings now, it is getting to feel a bit like Christmas here too. :-)

Thanks for viewing and thanks for all the great compliments. You know I adore compliments.

Have a good one,

Jean

giors, thank you so very much. I don't have turtles but have already been looking for some. Haven't seen a single turtle all summer! And yes, love Mario Bros! Have not played number 3 though. :-)

Thanks again for your lovely visit and comments.

Hey Jean you are tugging the heart strings with these beautiful photos of the Raccoons. Each one I look at makes me go Ooooooo Aaaaaah! M

Jean Gregory Evans on November 30, 2008

M, I was also going Aaaah myself when this little one came to visit. Watching him see the world for the first time was extraordinarily wonderful for me. He was easily amazed and trusting at everthing but took instructions from his mom very well. She let him roam freely, moreso than some other raccoon moms who kept their kits much closer.

This is one of my favorites of my raccoon photos!
