Have you crossed here? Is it legal to cross into Canada from the U.S here as long as you report to the nearest border crossing?

I've never crossed here because there are cameras on poles, so Border Patrol would probably try to hunt me down. I think they changed the rule after 9/11 that allowed you to cross anywhere as long as you traveled directly to a port of entry.

Think it is very irresposible to identify this as an unmanned border crossing!!! This is inviting trouble on BOTH SIDES.

I don't think I'm being irresponsible. Thre are signs everywhere. If you don't want trouble, don't cross here.

There's nothing to worry about. Just because it's unmanned doesn't mean it isn't watched. Line Road has sensors in the ground and in the trees. Both countries know when someone crosses the line. And anyway, don't you think anyone trying to come in illegally already knows about this place? Saying it's unmanned isn't going to make them flood this part of VT.
