I am hoping for snow Sam, but it snowed here 5 years ago, so we're not quite due yet in balmy Dorset (those Kentish Siberian and polar winds off the North Sea have lost their ice by the time they reach us, and most of our weather comes from the south and west)

Oh what a shame Graham, I will have a word in Mother Nature's ear when I next see her, to see if she conjure up a little dusting of the white stuff for you :))

Here we go. I've been waiting to see this impressive Beech lined tree in fall colours and I must say I'm not the least bit dissappointed Graham. Great shot.

thanks for all you kind words Tom - I didn't think I'd catch the trees turning, but we had a coup,e of cold nights last week and a sunny morning on Friday - this week has started out with pouring rain and high winds, si it might have been my only chance .... Graham

Thanks h - your comments are always greatly appreciated - this avenue is always a challenge, beautiful as it is, avoiding too many road signs and gaps in the trees, and trees out of sync with the others, so there is no definitive view - you just have to respond to season and light - but that's the sort of challenge that keeps us on our toes, so no complaints. Much appreciated drplmr - I always knew that Dorset was a great part of the world, but it took a few years after getting back from living in SA and pitching up here to tune in to what makes it special - now I'm proud to call it home
