Dear Wim Janssen!

Thank you for entering this fine picture into the 2010 April NPC. A very nice shot! Your photo has all of the correct characteristics, tagging, numbering, title, but missing country identification as required to be ready to participate! Best wishes to be successful in the contest! Please take part as well in the voting process in a few days!

Regards, János

2010 April NPC moderator

Thank you both Rainer and Stesza for wishing me luck in the NPC and the compliment on this photo. For me not an easy subject this month.

Greetings, Wim

Hi János thank you for welcoming me in the 2010 April NPC.

But I think there's nothing in the rules of adding the country of origin in the photo-title or entry. So in my opinion it's not required.

It's just for the statistics, but in the past people withdraw there entry because of that. And that is of course not in the spirit of the NPC.

There was some discussion on the NPC forum about the 'country' issue too.

But in my case I simply forgot to add it to the photo-title.

Greetings, Wim

Hello Wim, no discussion - this is BO!

I hesitate to vote for it in NPC (water is not moving very much)... But it so nice... Probably I will :)

Cheers, Tom

Hi Tom, I thank you for the BOP, the vote and most of all for the honesty. And of course your absolutely right. It didn't fit the subject very much. But it was the best I had. And although its not showing the water was moving a lot. It was a strong current in the canal. I was leaning over the edge of the bridge to see all the brown leaves floating under the bridge. So I thought why not make a stitch from a view right down to a view to the horizon. This is the result.

Greetings, Wim

I like to thank all other NPC voters to. It was a great contest again with high quality photo's.

Hello Wim, your welcome. Now I realized there is something strange about photo - it is stitched! Strange how human sight works - eye is attracted by reflexes on water and missed "broken" trunks of trees.

Best wishes from Prague, Tom

Thanks again Tom. I often use this technique. Not always with succes. But I like to experiment a bit. Also to get better light on strong light right into the lens circumstances.

Dank je wel Henk. Ik vond het wel mooi hoe al die blaadjes onder mij door dreven. Vandaar het idee om de naar beneden look te combineren met de vooruit look.

Groeten, Wim
