What a shot Tom!! Excellent capture. Did he make it??

Best Regards,

Séan.

© Tom Lussier, on November 11, said:

He did indeed make it Séan. I put the camera on rapid fire and shot the whole sequence. Picked this one out of the middle. If you ask me this guy is nuts! :)

Cheers, Tom

Madidi, on November 11, said:

Look one helluva drop Tom: you will have to post the final frame some time :))

Séan.

Tom, you're such a great advert for Nikon, taking such great shots - you are making me wonder whether to desert my Canon whenever I upgrade.

What can be said about a shot like this Tom? It is incredible. The lighting once again is perfect and I must say that in my opinion the color of the kayak is perfect for this one two! Excellently captured and yellow star! Bruce

You shoot with the 40D Greengage which is a great camera. My brother Bob shoots with one. Do I think Nikon equipement is superior? I've shot Nikon for 35 years so...Yah! But then again I'm biased. :) There are more talented photographers than I shooting Canon and always will. It's really an ergonomic and "feel" thing at this point. Although I do really believe that the superior camera is in my hands. LOL :) Helps with confidence too. I greatly appreciate your kind words and visit. Cheers.

Many thanks to you jopoloco.

Greetings Bruce it's good to hear from you. Thanks a lot for the kind words and Y*. After 40 years of going to Great Falls I finally saw someone go over this drop. I felt a weight lifted from my shoulders when this happened. :)

Best regards to all, Tom

Wow Tom! How cold was that water? I would guess the adrenaline rush mitigated any chill from the water though... Really fine action shot. Thanks for sharing your world in pictures with us all. Regards, Chris

© Tom Lussier, on November 12, said:

I think the mean water temp for this time in November is around 50 degrees Chris. The ambient air temps were in the low 70's so it was probably a little warmer than that. A little chilly but, like you said, easily overcome with the adrenaline boost while performing this. :) Thank you very much and your welcome. My pleasure.

Best regards from Virginia, Tom

Great shot Tom! I love seeing other people doing this sort of thing but doubt that I would ever try it, I agree with you that this guy is probably nuts.

Great shot Tom! My dad used to do this kind of thing, after his knees were too wrecked to ski. Then he dislocated his shoulder, now he can't kayak any more either! He had to give it when he was about 70. I wish I had got a photo of him ... this is great tho!

© Tom Lussier, on November 13, said:

Many thanks to Don, Al, Hank, Sam, LM, Ferdinand and Nawitka for looking at this unusual(for me) action shot and for all of the great comments. I imagine it will not easily be forgotten. :) Fairly exhilarating to shoot too. Hadn't anticipated that. :)

I am impressed with your fathers drive and desire for such daring activities Nawitka. I am sure he has many great memories . :)

Sam- Very cute gift. Thanks. :)
