Bulb flower fields near Hillegom-De Zilk, the Netherlands (panorama)

Between Leiden and Haarlem in the Netherlands is the center of Dutch bulb flower cultivation. Each spring, this makes for very colourful landscapes.

This panorama was created from 9 photographs and spans about 100 degrees. The fields were located a bit unfavourable with regard to the position of the sun, producing some notable banding in the sky background.

:-) they are real. The flowers in question on the photograph are mainly Hyacinth flowers, which come in these brightly coloured variaties.
