nice, but why did you cut off the pole on the pier?

I think that - at the time - I wanted to hold the focus on the boat. Backing the photo off enough to have the complete lightpole in the photo would have also added other distracting elements to the photo. But I agree with your point - whenever possible DO NOT cut off substantial features.

Its unfortunate the pole was even there, because the composition is so nicely done as is. The reflections are important to this picture. Closer or further away wouldn't have been as good.
