François Pitrou on November 18, 2008

Olivier Faugeras on November 19, 2008

Thanks you all.

Janina and Lui, I was thinking about EC-shadows contest at this moment.

Elvio, they don't kill bulls here. It was the 6th "race" for this one. The aim is to catch the rope beween horns.

Olivier Faugeras on November 19, 2008

I didn't know that you're doing bullfighting in France. I think everybody should boycot this disgusting sport.

When all this is mentioned, I have to say, that you've made a very nice picture. The movement of the actors, the shadows and the composition are all super.

I just feel sorry for the animal.

Olivier Faugeras on January 4, 2009

Janek, it's not bullfight. "La Course Camarguaise" is a popular sport in the south of France and it's a bloodless spectacle. "Razeteurs" - guys in white shirts with a little razor in their hand - chase a bull around an arena and try to cut off the strings that are tied between the bull's horns. The star of these spectacles are the bulls, who get top billing and stand to gain fame and statues in their honor. In this photo it was the 6th race for this bull !
