Hi Nelly and richt.oldi!!!

Lanin volcano (3,776 m) is Located in the south west of the province of Neuquén. It is Surrounded by the homonymous national park and Numerous lakes (Huechulafquen, Paimún and Tromen). Its slopes Are Covered by forest of Pehuen (Araucaria araucana) tree That Can Reach 70 meters. high, and grow only 4 to 8 cm per year. Geologically, Lanin, is one of the Youngest volcanoes in the Andes. It is Considered extinct and one of the MOST beautiful mountains in the world. His name, as all Almost all the names in the province of Neuquén, eat from the Mapuche language and means "Sink" or "We sink" (in the volcanic ash or snow). It is Considered the symbol of the province and Its particular figure is a central part of historical shield and flag. The qualities that make the Lanin volcano is well known and admired by all who have gone to the mountain, are the same as they do a mountain of respect, as their height and location makes its climate varies within minutes and transformed into a very harsh and hostile environment. In fact just before taking this photo the sky was clear and blue!!!

Thank you very much for your visits and Like!!!

Friendly greetings from Patagonia Argentina, Toto
