Hampton was mentioned in the Domesday Book and is also said to be the setting for Shakespeare's As You Like It. Behind the church is the Manor house, formerly the home of Pitt The Younger, and possible future home of Ossie Osbourne. Hampton was also the home of my ancestors from 1700 to 1850.
