Now this photo Nick is superb and I'll tell you why. #1. its a great title, #2. pleasing to the eye. #3. interesting subjects. #4 good colours and theme. #5. bridges and gates have a wonderful significance for several reasons. This is where you are most likely to meet your friends and passers by. Historically they are of great interest representing years of local customs and practises. They are often a gateway to a new life and adventure. That is why this photo means so much to me. It is for those reasons Nick that I save this to my faves!! Y*.
Thank you for adding my gallery to your preferred galleries listing. You will note that I have done likewise. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance and I am certain that we shall chat again. Kind regards---Jim
Wow Jim that is a brilliant review of this photo and I agree with all that you write - I particularly like the blues and greens that are fairly well balanced by the orange/browns - the decay of the blankets - and the leading through of the swing gate to something new. You said it all really and much better than I could.
Jim it is a real pleasure to meet you and write again soon. All the best Nick (Thanks for the Y* and faves bit too - that is really great.)
I like the moudly torn old horse blankets that haven't moved for years and the colours ~ and of course that gate ~ I'm very glad you like my little gallery ~ and look forward to welcoming you back
Yes it was a good season for shooting I believe john, not that I participate, nor do I like gamey stuff in the slightest ~ so I'd happily give mine to you to enjoy:) Masses of rabbits of course, but not so many people eat them these days and underwater just golfballs, Pike and other fish that can avoid the pike or you and youe speargun.:)
trikermike ~~~ Axota or Jim as he is known to you and me is a very wise old Owl and I too treasure the wonderful words he wrote at the top of this shot's comments. I had only just joined Pano at that time and it was such a pleasure to make Jim's aquaintance ~ he is a true gentleman and has a lovely gallery.
I'd be very pleased to let a youngster like you Mike to take away a copy of this shot with all of my friendship behind it too. Squirrel it away and enjoy. All the very best to you from Nick

Nick do you know why this particular picture holds great significance for me?
The first comment by AXOTA- Jim was posted on my 60th birthday, that is the one reason I will keep it in my 'special place' file.
Of course that is when you approve, after all, the copyright is yours_ad infinitum_ but I shall only keep this one for myself, if you do agree.
Mike
