Love the dry powdery hot rocks on this one, knobbling their way up to the summit, and the way there's only sky up above, really accentuates the height. Great shot, "you"! OK, Zzyzx..I should say....

Very best wishes sue

This is called Cathedral Rock. Then the one near it is called Negrohead rock. No kidding.

I've looked at climbing this one a few times. I've yet to find a passage to the top without ropes and other expensive climbing gear.

You wouldn't get away with anything so 'politically incorrect' here any more, there is even a brand of cheese, which is probably going to be renamed, even though it was named after a person's name, and not the racial nickname it is being taken as. Such are the times! AS I said, you're in our favourites, so if you get up there, and post some photos, we'll know about it!

Thanks again for your replies, don't feel obliged to reply to my second load of waffle, or you'll be on here all day!

Very best wishes to you, I actually have to go and do 'something' in the way of jobs now..

You have to fear racist cheese. Might offend someone, god forbid. I've come to the conclusion that there are no men left in America.
