Thanks Liviu - sunsets are so tempting photographically that I - like everybody else - have have to be very strictly self-censoring to try to restrict myself to the ones that have some element of unusualness to them, but i love the wave-like effect in this. Graham

thanks tino I think the effect of careful framing with a telephoto lens can produce quite a dramatic effect. Graham

Excellent vivid capture Graham. The trio of crows(?) add a touch of "life" to a surreal sunset. Lovely.

Interesting that you spotted the crows, Tom - I'd taken one just before they flew into the scene, and the difference they make in bringing the scene to life is extraordinary. Graham

Er - I'll repeat that, this time in English!(rather a lot of typos first time around)Thank-you paul.ion - yes, by using the telephoto lens to zero in on a small patch of sky you can also focus attention on an interesting patch of colour. Graham

I really love this one Graham - seems a bit like a Japanese woodblock of a breaking wave. Too bad about the birds ;) Of course, they really do make the shot.

Thanks again kamaly - dang birds get everywhere eh? - I see what you mean about the Japanese flavour - hadn't though of it, but so often there's something lurking at the back of the mind when you frame a shot and it needs somebody else to point out what it is. Graham
