on this little ridge is the remnants of prospectors shelters made from the rocks that stick out of the ground like flakey chocolate. around the shacks is evedince of there lives.brocken bottles cans etc.when you zoom in the old mineshafts are really visible.

Hey Anton did you find these old miners huts by chance or did you see them on GE first then have a look? It looks like it was a good season with the amount of greenery around. I do like the angle of this shot, must go back and have another go myself. :)

Hey back! spider52, glad you like the shot. I found it by accident, pulled up at the truck bay with the old Austin townsite information, saw a track going over the hill and followed. very interesting site.Lots of other part buildings and old diggings.It was a very wet summer and Lake Austin was full of water. Dry on the coast but nice and green inland.

sircha4 thanks for the reply and gald you followed your path.I took a photo of this same hut many years ago as I loved the stone work and found out some interesting facts about them.
