Great capture Ian of a very famous building. I've never seen the beautiful red light before. Greetings Luud

Thanks for your compliment Luud. There are some special occasions when the Opera House is illuminated with coloured light. This was 11 November commemoration.

Each of the shells of the SOH was lit in a different colour once - for its own birthday, I think it was. So there are not many tourist's photos of a coloured opera house. That was why I was keen to go into the city to record this occcasion, and I am glad I did.

Kind regards,

Dear shalom57,

As you would well know, the Opera House only dresses up like this on rare occasions. When I heard about this lighting, I just had to make the trip into the city to record it. I am pleased that you like this photo.

Nice night shot! LIKE.

Thank you nokristina. The architect and the managers deserve all credit. It certainly was a different Sydney Opera House dressed in pink.
