The tower was built in 1911. On the clock face are the words Bromo Seltzer. The tower design, along with the now-demolished factory it stood next to, was inspired by the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence.

The leaning tower of Bromo! I can never get a good shot of the tower, too much traffic.

About a month ago I did an aerial video of the Bromo Tower. If you view the video I'm sure you will see some angles of the tower that you have not seen before... like the trap door at the very top. I don't think I can attach an image as I am new here, but I will upload a snapshot taken from the video at: Emerson Bromo-Seltzer Tower = http://youtu.be/ixUuTGDIU3c
