Roman Catholic Church of St. Stanislaus, Bishop & Martyr - East 7th Street, NYC - June 2008 . . . . A parish founded in 1873 to minister to Polish immigrants, it built its present church in 1900. It remains dedicated to serving its original flock, holding a high mass conducted in Polish each Sunday. (It is also the church of my childhood.)
