I was lucky enough to be by the roadside when a dozen Szeklar horsemen came riding by in their finery. I was amused to find these two happy guys bringing up the rear.

No high Petrol prices, Ricard! This is a common form of transport in Transylvania. Theolfa

You certainly have been travelling, Theolfa, England, Ireland, Alaska and Alberta I might expect, but Transylvania is quite a surprise indeed. And such a moment as this is deservedly memorable. Like it.

Warmly,

Ian

Hi, Ian! Transylvania was a one time only visit and I will never forget it. Our best friend in Liverpool (we met in 1958, while the men were Med. students) had escaped from Hungary during the uprising. So we have been to Hungary with him many times. However he was born in Transylvania when it belonged to Hungary and this was a dream of his to go and see his Grandparents grave and his cousins. So he took all his family and close friends on a private bus from Budapest on a six hour drive to the village and we were wined & dined every day and night for a week, and on the seventh day we had another six hour bus trip back. Glad you checked it out. Cheers! Theolfa
